Parker Baker advises individuals, families, and closely held businesses on estate planning, tax strategy, and business transitions. Licensed to practice law in South Carolina and Tennessee, with admission pending in North Carolina, Parker helps clients plan for the future, protect what they have built, and navigate complex decisions with practical, thoughtful solutions tailored to their goals.
Parker earned his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University, where he studied history and served as Captain of the Club Rugby team. He received his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he was a member and Editor of the South Carolina Law Review, and inducted into the Order of the Coif, an honor reserved for only the top 10% of the class. Parker went on to earn his LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where he served as an editor of the Florida Tax Review.
In addition to his client work, Parker has authored and co-authored articles for professional publications, including South Carolina Lawyer, and has been involved in appellate-level legal scholarship, including work on an amici brief cited by a federal appellate court. Parker has been recognized by Greenville Business Magazine as a 2025 Legal Elite of the Upstate in Corporate Law (M&A), Estate & Trust Planning, and Tax & Estate Planning. Parker contributes to the Upstate legal community through his membership in the Greenville Estate Planning Council, the Greenville Estate Planning Study Group, the Greenville Bar Association, and the Greenville Chamber of Commerce.
After graduating from Vanderbilt University, Parker attended the University of South Carolina School of Law. During law school, he worked as an editor for the South Carolina Law Review, won three Book Awards, and graduated magna cum laude. The following year, Parker earned an LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where he worked as editor for the Florida Tax Review.
